Welcome to Lake Cuyamaca Retreat! Our gorgeous lake house retreat is located on North Peak, featuring some of the most stunning views in the county. The property is located at about 5,500 ft elevation and is one of highest peaks in the region. On a clear day you can see all the way out to the Pacific Ocean and the greater San Diego County.
To the south of North Peak are unobstructed views to Stonewall Peak and Lake Cuyamaca. Stonewall Peak is a popular hiking trail and part of the larger Rancho Cuyamaca State Park. Cuyamaca Lake is managed by County Parks and Recreation and has a restaurant/pub, as well as boating, fishing and hunting activities.
To the West is Middle Peak and to the East starts the Anza-Borrego State Park. To the south is the Cleveland National Forest – one of the biggest forests in the USA, comprising over 200,000 acres. Wildlife sightings including; deer, turkey, hawks and bald eagles are common around the property and we are surrounded by wildlife, bio-diversity and natural beauty on all sides!
